Cerulean blue eyes flickered to and fro across the vast clearing like a restless fox's tail. The camp outside of the nursery was so large, consuming her miniature stature in its warm embrace. The air she took in sparking her incisors as the many different scents tickled past her nostrils. Sharp edges belonging to the battle scarred warriors who had moons of stories to tell, excitement dancing off of the pelts of the all too eager apprentices following the footsteps of their noble mentors. Oh, how she wished to be like them one day. Soon. She told herself, flicking her tail with her own excitement.
The ball of cream and chocolate-brown fluff took one more small step away from the outskirts of the nursery, however, remaining beneath the watchful gaze of the queens. She knew not to blow her first outing from the nursery, even if it was a mere tail-length or two. Slowly she sheathed and unsheathed her tiny need-like claws and scraped them gently against the cool surface of stone. The rosy pink pads of her paws itching for adventure.
Patience, Icekit. She once again told herself in the back of her mind, deciding to toss away her hopes for adventure for another outing. What better to do than watch and learn? She lay down on a small conveniently placed pile of moss outside of the nursery, resting her head on her chocolate colored paws and lazily watching the warriors go about their duties and munch on fresh-kill. Oh, how she wished to join them. Or, maybe get a little bit of play time. There's not a whole lot of room within the nursery for such rough-housing. Adding the consideration of accidentally stepping on a new-born.
